where i come from.
Having moved to Andermatt, Switzerland, at the age of 9, I soon tried out skiing for the first time. From then on, I was amazed by everything about it. I immediately knew I wanted to pursue a career in skiing. Soon after I joined the local skiclub “Gotthard Andermatt”. A couple years later professional trainer Hans Erni took me under his wing and I started training with him.
With time it became hard to manage sport and education at once so I decided to move to Tarvisio, Italy, by myself for a few years to attend the “Bachmann” college of ski. I finished my education in Lugano and am now studying law at the university of lucerne.
where i’m at.
Coaches Corrado Castoldi, Mirco Botta and Andrea Testa from Como have been training me since 2018. They have improved my level a lot and thanks to them I’ve had the chance to be integrated in the Swissski B cadre elite giant slalom group since 2020.
My current coaches in the cadre are Michael Allemand and Silvan Epp. By my side as serviceman, is Maurizio Magatelli from Bormio.
Last year I reached the 56th world rank in giant slalom, became 23rd in the world championship in Cortina d'Ampezzo and 13th in the European Cup in Berchtesgaden (DE). In addition, I celebrated three more victories in FIS races and one in a national championship.
where i’m going.
This winter things are being kicked off with a World Cup on october 24th in Sölden, Austria. For this year I’ll be skiing the whole World Cup calendar as well as the European Cup.
I am the primary candidate for the 2022 Olympics in Beijing, where I will be skiing giant slalom, slalom and alpine combined. Having followed my ambition for the past couple years has given me the security of knowing this is what I want to do long-term and the motivation to bring out the best in me while at it. I’m excited to be sharing the next few steps in my career with the world, will you be following me on my journey?
